Artist Kristy Highness credits the birth of Dreaming Tree Creations to a quintessential moment during a drive near Byron Bay, Australia in 2008. The sunshine was streaming; the wind, blowing. Just the right music was playing. And then Kristy passed a giant fig tree on the hillside, illuminated perfectly by the sunset. The sight sparked pure joy, and ultimately, an epiphany that would redirect Kristy's goals from fitting into corporate America to seeking personal fulfillment through creativity. The inspiration to follow her heart toward silversmithing was the first of what Kristy came to call dreaming-tree moments: mere moments or thoughts that can change everything. Likewise, many of the maker's designs and ideas come from single moments of clarified inspiration, including encounters while traveling this vast and beautiful world, elements of nature, self-empowerment, gift-giving, and the joys and sorrows of the human experience.
