About Happiness Project

In April 2017, our founder, Jake, was a junior in high school when tragedy struck the community. A classmate, Nick Spaid, lost his battle with mental illness. Nick was more than a classmate—he was a friend, dreamt of being an entrepreneur, and a lover of classic rock. He had a smile that welcomed everyone, a passion for vinyl records, and big plans to study International Business. To honor Nick's memory, Jake created Happiness Project—a brand with a mission to spread positivity while supporting those affected by mental health struggles. Our signature smiley logo is named after Nick, ensuring that his legacy of kindness, ambition, and love for life lives on. We're proud to donate 15% of net profits to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)—an organization dedicated to saving lives and offering hope to those affected by suicide.
