Max de Genie is first of all the story of two great gourmets, Maxime and Eugénie, alarmed by the impact of sugar overconsumption on our health. Today we consume 4 times too much sugar compared to what the World Health Organization recommends. This results in the increase in many diseases such as diabetes, overweight or cardiovascular diseases. Passionate about nutrition but also very good pastries, we wanted to create gourmet pastries that would do us good. How? We reduce the sugar intake of our pastries by 50% and have formulated recipes that allow them to have a low glycemic index. This means eating one of our cookies has the same impact on our sugar level as an apple! In addition, we use raw materials very rich in protein, allowing, in our society where we consume less and less animal protein, to supplement our daily protein needs. All with 100% natural ingredients, with alternative raw materials (such as natural fruit sugars (coconut sugar, date powder...) or oilseed flour (almond, hazelnut...) sourced in short circuits!
