Watercolor artist from Northern Germany. Master in Landscape Ecology. My work celebrates the diversity of native wild plants – not the rare and spectacular, but the everyday plants right outside our door that are often overlooked. After studying landscape ecology, I quickly realized that a scientific approach alone was not enough to express my wonder at plant communities. This led to the creation of my "Painted Herbarium" – a growing collection of botanical watercolors that document native flora and tell their stories. For over 6 years, I have been teaching botanical painting online, inviting others to rediscover their surroundings through watercolor painting.
