About Shade's Crochet

It all started in January 2016: a girl (aka myself) bored in her college dorm decided to pick up a hook & ball of yarn, logged on to Youtube and made her very first crochet top. A week later, a friend asked me to make her a top for a date. She loved it and recommended I sell them—thus Shadé's Crochet was born. I loved her reaction to how she felt about herself wearing the garment, and every time a client expresses how happy they are I get that joy all over again—not just because they’re pleased with my work but because they would express how much they loved their self and how they looked. I genuinely enjoy the process of creating clothing out of seemingly nothing and this was eventually merged together with my passion for mental wellness as Shadés Crochet strives to incorporate mental health awareness into high-quality fashion.Read their story
