About KARE Audio

It all started with my father watching TV at a very high volume. He had hearing aids, a surround sound system and still could not hear the TV the way he wanted. One day while sitting in his chair, he held his hands up near his ears and said, "I wish I just had small little speakers right here on my chair." I looked to see what was on the market that would meet his needs. We tried headphones and other products. We found nothing worked the way he wanted. So we started looking at what it would take to develop this product. After years of working on getting the design working and dozens of prototypes, we began KARE, LLC. We decided to establish KARE in memory of the late Kenneth and Audrey Root, the two most influential people in the founders' life. Our family has suffered genetically from hearing issues for multiple generations. We cannot hear properly, especially when there is so much sound everywhere. We cannot identify the words. As a family, we feel pretty detached in public as we cannot hear whatever is happening. To diminish the impacts of hearing issues on people, we started this company. We started in hearing assistance, and now Kare has products that make your house a bit quieter by taking what we learned in assisted hearing and applying it to products for everyday use.
