About Gemini Handmade

Gemini Handmade is a woman-operated leather-craft and sewing studio located in Grand Rapids, MI USA, owned and operated by Elyse Marie Welcher. Initially launched to be a simple leather studio for my craft, it has expanded to have its own brand of goods, carry the work of 50 other makers, and serve as a cross-roads for craft and community in West Michigan. We are a space for makers, for artists, and for quality goods, for an ever-growing and diverse community of people and businesses. The Gemini Handmade Collection, ultimately, is the culmination of years of research and experience in owning a hand-crafted storefront and studio for over 12 years in the heart of the Midwest. Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a place where people look for craft and value; where they understand artisan quality, look for a reasonable price, and wish to buy things from regular folks making honest goods. With this in mind, the Gemini Handmade Collection was created- designed to be simple and useful, crafted from pure veg-tan American leathers in earthy colors, and built to last. Crafted by few hands, in-house, in small batches. No gimmicky hardware, no fake materials, just leather, metal, and thread.
