About Black Cat Oracle Cards

The Black Cat Oracle Cards were created by artist Christopher Gendron in 2020 during Covid. The cards were both a distracting, healthy form of art therapy, while also existing as an homage to a recently lost pet, a black cat named Max. While Christopher has always been drawn to oracle cards, it was when he discovered a traditional Lenormand deck that the project really began to take on life. The Lenormand proved to be a more easily accessible system of reading than a tarot deck (at least, for Christopher), while still maintaining a similar style and allure. Christopher worked closely with a local psychic and oracle card reader both for the writing of the instructional booklet as well as to ensure that the cards still visually represented what was needed for an accurate reading while also incorporating a black cat on every card. Each card was hand drawn with pen and ink on Bristol board with love and black cats in mind and spirit.Read their story
