Cards that speak hope into the grieving heart. Butterflies + Halos was born from my own grief — as a mom who lost her son in 2006, a widow in 2009, a grieving sister that same year, and again in 2018 when my sister-in-law passed. For years, I carried this idea in my heart: to create something that would help people show up better for those they love in grief. Words that don’t try to fix the pain, but sit with it. In June 2022, I launched Butterflies + Halos — a line of cards written from my own experiences, my feelings, and even things others have told me they wished someone had said. Each card is written and designed by me, born from real stories, real hurt, and real love. My words are meant to guide friends through the unknown of grief — to help them show up when it feels hard, and remind the grieving heart it’s not alone. Step inside and take a look.
