Hey, I’m Kerri! Mom of two and illustrator based in Toronto. Twill & Pine hats are super soft, flexible-brim five-panels made for kids who love a good hat with a great fit. Twill & Pine started with a three-month-old and a search for the perfect summer hat. When my son was born in 2017, I wanted something cool and comfortable to protect his little head. But back then, the options were mostly bonnets and bucket hats (and trust me, this was before bucket hats made their comeback 😉). I wanted something that matched the hats his dad wore - classic five-panels with fun prints - but I couldn’t find anything in his size. So, I decided to make one. I played around with an adult hat pattern, tweaking it until I got the right fit. The tricky part? Finding a brim that wasn’t too stiff for his tiny forehead. It wasn’t the prettiest first attempt, but it worked! I kept refining the design, sewing different versions until I landed on something just right. That late-night sewing project turned into Twill & Pine, hats designed for little heads (and now bigger ones too!). While I no longer sew them myself, each print is illustrated by me, making every hat feel special. Hope you love them as much as we do! **We're not currently shipping to the US due to tariffs.
