About Tocquigny Travel Photography

George Tocquigny and his wife have always had a passion for travel, especially since their first trip to Europe about 20 years ago. After taking hundreds upon hundreds of typical "travel photos," George started honing his photography skills and investing in the best gear, and searching for the best printers in the US for canvas and metal prints. As a result, for the last year, Tocquigny Travel Photography has been providing high-quality photo wall-art for discriminating collectors, global travelers, or folks who plan to travel to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, or other beautiful destinations. Much of the uniqueness of his photos come from the way that George and his wife travel. They are do-it-yourself planners and doers, and once they saw the big cities, they quickly became enamoured with the off-the-beaten-path towns and villages. They like to immerse themselves in the local culture, which means learning a bit of the native language, cooking the local food, and staying in independent, small B&B's and inns. So you won't see any images of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Eiffel Tower, etc. His photos are primarily landscapes and food/outdoor market-related that are so predominant in Europe. Low-light time exposures and panoramas have also taken a significant place in George's portfolio.
