“GENESTINE: THE REVIVAL OF A HISTORIC BRAND” It is the story of enthusiasts of French spirits and ancient liquors, who revived a forgotten brand that was nevertheless a flagship of this specialty in the 19th century. Génestine, one of the oldest spirits brands in France founded in 1845 and the largest distillery in France in the 1920s, is back after 70 years of closure! Distillerie Génestine founded in 1845 and revived in 2021. We worked with archivists, antique dealers, librarians, to find traces of the past, and relaunch the brand... We remade the same bottles, logos, labels, as in the 19th century, logo created by Auguste Bartholdi, the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty. From the very first months, the revival of the brand aroused a certain curiosity on the part of the public, the media and professionals. The presentation of the products is meticulous, timeless retro/chic presentations. The ingredients are 100% natural and often processed fresh, we do not use any artificial colors or flavors, and our prices are consistent. Recognition of the profession: at the most prestigious competition for the best spirits in the world, the WDA, the World Drinks Awards in England, GENESTINE won three medals, an extremely rare occurrence in the history of the competition... Commercially, we do not sell our products to large retailers.
