Hey Hey! I'm Louie, the founder of Skin Magic. Here's the (slightly sparkly) truth: I've been obsessed with skincare for as long as I can remember. It was a mix between fixing my own skin issues and having a feeling – a desire for healthy, radiant skin that felt as good as it looked. Fast forward to my late teens/early twenties, and I found myself working at Sephora in the heart of NYC. It was a whirlwind of beauty trends and new products, and I loved it all. But somewhere along the way, I knew I craved more. I wanted to understand the science behind it all, the "why" behind the glow. So, I became a licensed esthetician, diving deep into the world of skincare. There was still a piece missing though. So I went back to school and earned a beauty marketing degree from FIDM. It granted me the opportunity to work for amazing brands like GLAMGLOW, Algenist, and Banila Co. and provided me with invaluable experience. But with each experience, the desire to share my own unique perspective grew stronger. Enter Skin Magic! Our first creation, the 10% Glycolic Treatment Tonic, is a testament to that desire. It's effective, it's fun (because good skincare shouldn't feel like a chore!), and it's exactly what I, as a 30 something year-old LGBTQ+ man who loves skincare, would want on my shelf.
