About Wacky Wood

Wacky Wood is a quirky and playful stud earring brand founded by New Orleans based artist Frannie LaMagna. A long time veteran of the service industry, Frannie was inspired to start Wacky Wood after wearing a cute pair of hamburger earrings to work. Not only did it make Frannie more confident and happy to go to work wearing something fun and on theme, it also spread joy and excitement to people who noticed them - sparking up some amazing conversations between her and her customers. After seeing how something so small could bring so much joy, a lightbulb went off, and wacky wood was born. Our mission is to encourage expression, connection, and joy through our ear art in a sustainable and affordable way. Our earrings are made out of sustainable basswood that is FSC Certified. They are designed, laser cut, engraved, and then hand-painted with attention to detail by Frannie in her home with the help and support of her husband Adam and two fur babies Bear and Beignet. We use no plastic in our packaging, our mailers are compostable, and we are dedicated to continuing to make more sustainable choices as we grow. All earring posts are surgical grade stainless steel, hypoallergenic, and safe for sensitive ears. We currently have 60 designs available but are committed to bringing you new and unique designs.
