About Open Coven
Open Coven provides fiber art resources for empowerment. This includes kits, charts, and workshops. It is owned by me: Liz Watkin. My work is inspired by artists such as Corita Kent, Shepard Fairey, and Barbara Kruger. I am also influenced by the occult, zine culture, street art, graphic design and my home Asheville. I have been a hand stitcher all my life and wanted to create designs that had a social message. The kits I was seeing were nice but I wanted to say something with my art, thus the evolution of Open Coven. All designs are printed in North Carolina with an independent business committed to sustainability and equity.
