About Wonky Wicks

There’s something deeply transporting about smell that can take you anywhere in place and time. Our world is full of scent, and our experiences with smell are closely and subconsciously tied to our brain’s emotional responses. You may have a childhood association with lavender due to the lavender bush from Grandma’s garden, or a particular aversion to mint. Like a fingerprint, each of our experience of smell is entirely unique, and though two people may have similar scent preferences, the emotional associations we make with them are our own. Wonky Wick candles are made from pure soy wax, scented only with essential oils, and are poured into repurposed glass bottles we collect from our community and cut ourselves. Sometimes, our bottles are a little "wonky' after being cut, but since they're still perfectly functional we decided it would be more sustainable to keep them! From cutting and sanding the bottles to mixing our own scents, each and every Wonky Wick candle is handcrafted from start to finish.
