About SAFFARI Studio

I’m Farah, an artist and designer based in Scotland. A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art; I have worked in the fashion industry for over 10 years and I create illustrated goods for your home. Having Persian heritage has definitely shaped my love of pattern and colour and vintage textiles are a constant source of inspiration. My favourite artists sit in surrealism; Jean Cocteau, Picasso, Marcel Vertès, Raoul Dufy, Dali. I’m forever trying to develop a style that sits in that world but also just a celebration of pattern. I like to think of my in a dream like quality and flowers feature heavily as I love the way they can look like they’re sometimes dancing. I also make my illustrated hand built ceramics and hoping to branch out into other wares soon.Read their story
