About Hessen Schokolade

It started with 100 bars of chocolate. Now there are several tens of thousands. They all bear the logo of "Hessen Schokolade" - the company of Bastian Schütz and Erik Lohsträter. Regionality meets emotion. "Where Hessen Schokolade is on the label, Hessen is inside!" – that is their promise. As far as possible, everything comes from the region: apples from Friedberg, strawberries from Münzenberg, packaged and designed in Butzbach. And all in manufactory quality, not for supermarkets, but for delicatessens, farm shops, and online – with a noticeable love for detail. Diversity with a social heart In 2023, Hessen Schokolade received the label "Diversity Wetterau – Region for Everyone!" An award that not only honors regional connectedness but also social commitment: The packaging of the products is handled by employees of Diakonie Friedberg – an example of lived diversity. The sweet success formula What began as a 100-bar experiment became a hit: By the end of 2022, 9,000 bars had been sold, and by 2024 this number rose to up to 40,000, supplemented by pralines, marshmallows, and more. The experience in marketing and his extensive network were worth their weight in gold.
