Most options felt uninspired, leading him to launch La Mar Collective to offer art that resonates with ocean lovers. La Mar’s curated photography goes beyond the typical "surf art" seen in galleries. Each piece is selected based on the emotion and feeling it evokes, capturing the essence of the ocean. Mateo’s mission is to support artists through non-exclusive deals, empowering them to sell their work freely while being part of La Mar’s collection. Additionally, the brand is committed to sustainability, removing 10 pounds of plastic from the ocean with every purchase.
