Dragon Well was founded to introduce a traditional Slovenian pumpkin seed oil to the U.S. — a product deeply rooted in the culinary heritage of the Štajerska and Prekmurje regions, yet still largely undiscovered here. Produced using a time-honored method, pumpkin seeds are slowly roasted and pressed to create a naturally dark green oil with an intense, toasted-nut aroma and remarkable depth of flavor. The oil carries Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, preserving its authenticity and regional identity. What began as a passion for bringing this ingredient to a wider audience quickly gained traction among chefs, and today the oil is used in Michelin-starred kitchens as a finishing touch on everything from vegetables and seafood to desserts.
