About Whimsy Pop

Hi! My name is Alyssa Suede. I have spent most of my life as an artist and a performer in one way or another. From growing up a champion figure skater to touring as a musician to acting in film/tv. In between all of this, I've always found myself with pen in hand sketching characters and creating stories for them. And so Whimsy Pop was born. I create fun, whimsical wall art for kids. Combining the simplicity of ink with bright pops of water color, the images are created with kid’s imaginations in mind and a focus on encouraging them in the field of the arts. All my art is of animals playing instruments or creating in some other art form. Each print comes with a sticker telling a short story about that character, and their stories often interweave, creating a larger world for them all. Each print is an 8x10 matted to size 11x14 and comes in two versions. The whimsy versions are on a simple white background for more of a minimalist look, whereas the pop versions bring just that - a POP of color to your room. I am also developing children’s books of the characters and gift cards which will be available in the near future.
