I mean, it was a safer option for the body and better for the planet. No brainer, right? She also thought of how inaccessible menstrual cups were for menstruating persons in developing countries, as she had never heard about or seen them provided for the average person in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. She developed this Company and then decided to make it her mission to spread the word and make menstrual cups accessible, as well as normalized for persons in both her new home (US) and old (Jamaica). Twistie On the Go first launched in Jamaica and then rapidly expanded to Barbados, Trinidad, Tobago, St. Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda.
