About AMARA Tulum

AMARA is an independent, conscious lifestyle brand. Sustainable swimwear made with regenerated nylon from sources such as fishing nets recovered from our oceans through the Healthy Seas project. Designed in Tulum and made in Mexico by local artisans, the collection offers custom geometric infused prints and fresh colour palettes, paired with curve-flattering silhouettes, daring cuts and nostalgic rock & roll soul. Keeping with our minimalist philosophy, reversible, convertible and mix & match styles allow our customer to do a lot with a little. Quality construction, high performance fabrics and fit are at the forefront of the design process. The result? Effortless style that stands the test of time. AMARA's Founder & Creative Director, Lisa Jackson, grew up in Toronto, Canada. A passionate traveler, the designer has since given up the cold city life for warm sea breezes and international culture. With an education in art and her experience working on fashion editorials as a makeup artist, the evolution into a designer was a natural progression. Lisa is passionate about creating a positive impact through the voice of the brand, keeping ethical and sustainable practices at the forefront of her mission. You can find her deep in the Mayan jungle, curating a conscious lifestyle and crafting her next collection.
