After four IVF cycles our founder and Pharmacist, Shalom Lloyd gave birth to her twins, Joshua and Amara. Joshua was covered in eczema which inspired Shalom to tap into her African roots. After experimenting and mixing in her kitchen, she stumbled across the right formulation and three days later Joshua's skin became what it should have been from birth – and this was the birth of Naturally Tribal Skincare. With Shea Butter being the base of our products and main ingredient, this journey led Shalom to build a Shea Butter processing facility in Essan, Niger State, Nigeria, where we employ and empower rural Essan women. With purpose and impact in its DNA, Naturally Tribal Skincare was born from a need, a problem and personal experience Our company is a unique, proudly British, indie beauty brand with a difference. We are UK Department of International Trade Export Champions and having recently launched in Harrods Beauty Milton Keynes as well as Harrods.com – this hopefully speaks to our quality and credibility as a unique luxury beauty brand. Naturally Tribal was born sustainable - from inclusivity, efficacy, cruelty-free to vegan and environmentally friendly, we bring with us enormous credibility and a ‘doing the right thing’ mentality.
