Makayla Bennett is a creative wife and mom based in Indiana, Pennsylvania but travels all across the eastern U.S. with her husband and daughter for her husband's job. Having lived full-time in a camper trailer, hotels, and Air BNBs taught her the importance of simplicity and how to make the most of the small things. Makayla is passionate about ethical and sustainable fashion and is excited to finally have a home with a studio where she makes every item by hand. After becoming a mom, she realized she wanted to fill the gap in the market by providing handmade ethical and sustainable bonnets + clothing for babies, children, and women all across the U.S. She also wanted a business that does good, so 2% of all her direct sales are donated directly to Charity:Water and O.U.R. Rescue, providing clean water and jobs to developing countries all over the world and rescuing children from sex trafficking. Along with sewing and creating high-quality pieces that give back, Makayla also enjoys reading, living sustainably, being outdoors, photography, gardening, and homeschooling her daughter.Read their story
