About TRANGS.ART

TRANGS.ART is a Chicago-based painting studio founded in 2023 by Saigon-born artist Trang Nguyen. Drawing inspiration from Vietnamese heritage, diverse Asian traditions, and the lack of Vietnamese cultural representation in the art world, Trang’s work blends storytelling with fine art to connect cultures and communities. Since moving to Chicago in 2019, she has aimed to share her heritage with her new community while fostering a sense of belonging within the Vietnamese community. The studio’s main focus is original oil paintings in sizes ranging from 8x8 inches to 48x60 inches, making them accessible to a variety of collectors. Secondary offerings include high-quality art prints, bookmarks, stickers, and T-shirts—each handmade in the artist’s studio using professional materials and techniques. Since its founding, TRANGS.ART has participated in local art fairs and received warm support from people of all backgrounds, showing that Vietnamese art resonates far beyond its own community.Read their story
