About Upper Room Candle Company

What began as an idea in 2018 and became a business in 2019 started on a folding table in our game room. It quickly took over the whole game room then two rooms upstairs then the garage too. By the end of 2021, we’d outgrown the available upper rooms and needed more space. So we got rid of all downstairs furniture except for my grandmother’s China hutch (which has lived in our bedroom until two weeks ago LOL) and our dining room table (passed down from my MIL). That worked until we outgrew the workload our family of four could handle. We needed help. So a few days out of the week, various friends came over to help. But there’s only so much product and people you can fit in one house! 🤪 In the fall of 2022, we started looking for options. We wanted to stay local. We wanted to keep our employees. We wanted room to grow and a place people could come and meet the makers. We took a leap of faith and moved into our “huge” warehouse space last February.
