Joanita is a crafter and a beader. In 2015 when she faced issues with gaining employment, she set up a trade school and sought to teach other young ladies who found herself in such situations. This was an avenue to help reduce female unemployment and poverty. Gained international recognition by becoming a Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur in 2016 and then a Mandela Washington Fellow in 2019. Business was good till Covid. We could no longer have physical lessons and we couldnt immediately get onto edutech because of the peculiarities of the internet in Ghana. Africa.
