About Owl Paperlamps

We are a local papercraft brand created in 2016 by Hugo and Teresa, in Lisbon. We design original paper lamps that come in DIY (Do It Yourself) kits, providing a playful experience of paper construction. We prioritize sustainability values in the materials we use, as well as in the small and local scale of production. Our paperlamps recreate figures from nature and other settings in an abstract manner, exploring the lightness of paper with the light it radiates. They are standout pieces in the creation of unique environments and they bring their own stories into our homes. To provide a moment of pause, challenge and the return to crafting with our own hands – that is our purpose at Owl Paperlamps. The process of building a lamp, the dedication and work involved and the sense of accomplishment – they all matter and are inherent to the DIY products.
