Pictures of Lily is a seasonless London based fashion label created by Turkish designer Emel Mel Bakici. The designer launched her brand after her studies in London College of Fashion and she is working as a fashion designer and stylist for major brands in the UK. By translating the essence of nature into works of art, Mel developed her print-focused sustainable brand. Each illustration becomes wearable art. Each pattern starts its life as a hand-drawn sketch translated into digital patterns, before becoming a wearable accessory with a definitive character. Pictures of Lily produces warm, playful stories printed on 100% natural silk. The unique designs reflect vivid images of nature and exotic fantasy. Each cut & sew piece is eco-consciously and ethically produced in small quantities by local seamstresses in Turkey.
