My name is Matthew Kuplack and I started Matt-Hat Jerky when I was 11-years-old. (2017) My Grandpa made great Jerky but he never gave the real recipe to anyone. I spent a lot of time working with my Dad trying to duplicate my Grandpa's recipe. When I decided I would like to start a business beef jerky just made sense because I was already good at it. Finding my own perfect recipe took some work but it finally paid off. My Original flavor is savory, chewy and delicious with just a tiny kick of heat. I started making tiny batches of jerky and selling it door to door in my neighborhood with my sisters. The jerky was a hit and people all over the neighborhood started buying it! In June 2017 I launched my website www.MattHatJerky.com and continued our local sales. Since then we have grown steadily. I now sell 15 delicious flavors. I won the International Jerky Competition in 2020 for "Best Beef Jerky"! Matt-Hat Jerky has been featured on news stations, many articles and was even spotlighted on social media by food legends Guy Fieri and Andrew Zimmern!
