About kiptere.ch

100% of donations and income go to the village of Kiptere in Kenya. Since 2008, we have been supporting families in Kiptere, a village in Kenya. Helping people to help themselves is paramount because we are convinced that this is the only way we can achieve change in the longer term. We have our own art workshop, where we make cards, jewelry, decorative objects, games and beautifully painted soapstones. We sell these on markets in Kenya, Switzerland and now also on Faire.com and are thus able to finance part of our projects. Our projects: Health promotion: Our goal is to reduce diseases in the population associated with polluted water and inadequate health behavior and to provide families with access to clean drinking water and medical care through filter systems. Coffee project: Since 2012, we have been helping farmers who are unable to pay their children's school fees. Our goal is for farmers to be able to grow, process and sell high-quality coffee in the future, regardless of external support. With the income, they can pay their children's education costs.
