About Kemi Designs

Graduating from the University of Delaware where she studied Apparel Design, Kemi spent 4 years sewing and creating beautiful clothing. In the summer of 2009 she moved to Sydney, Australia to work with the fashion designer Willow and be apart of her company. After living there and traveling around for a year she decided to stray from clothing and go into jewelry making which is something she always felt she had a talent for and was passionate about. After her “We Built This City” NYC Skyline ring was featured in Timeout NY online and Refinery29, the designer decided it was time for the Kemi collection to take it to the next step. Finding inspiration in nature, travel, and different cultures, Kemi has developed a unique style that creates one-of-a-kind pieces. Although she seeks inspiration from everything around her, her jewelry still represents her and her own personal style. Kemi’s collection is built completely from scratch, creating each and every detail by hand. In addition to that, Kemi has pledged to keep her company as socially and environmentally conscious as possible with an abundance of her metals using 100% recycled materials. With a love for precious metals, dimension and geometric shapes she is constantly working and coming up with new ideas everyday. Kemi hopes that her designs are recognized for her hard work and that her jewelry brings meaning to those who wear them.
