The Peralta Project is a New York centric, Latino lifestyle brand created by Artist and New York native, M.Tony Peralta. Peralta mixes his experiences as a New Yorker, Dominican-American and Latino culture and Love of Hip Hop as inspiration for his Art and Designs. The Peralta Project was started in 2005 as a side project for Tony, who worked in fashion as a graphic designer and accessories designer for years. The brand started off as a streetwear brand for a few years but Peralta later carved his own niche by gearing it towards latinos and creating pieces that didn't exists in the market place. The Peralta Project was the first to make many of the products that are now being done by others from the an Afro-Latino/a t-shirts, to the "Walter Mercado is my Spiritual Advisor," to his "Se Habla Spanglish" tees. The Peralta Project is 15 years in, still putting out unique products even opening up a flag ship stored named "Taller Peralta, in the community he was born and raised.
