In London Ontario while working at the Tasting Room, one of the cities most prestigious fine dining restaurants, Matt discovered a secret seasoning made by the owner. Intrigued, he incorporated it into his meals, prompting the owner to share the recipe under the condition that he must make his own and stop eating his employers seasoning. Fueled by a love for heat, Matt evolved the blend from a spicy meat rub to a smoked spicy Caesar/Bloody Mary rim with a variety of heat levels, something for everyone. In 2021, he founded Rimjobs & Meat Rub Co. debuting at pop-up markets in September 2022. The response was overwhelming, expanding Rimjobs & Meat Rub Co. into 13 restaurants across London, Toronto, and Niagara. Matt strategically placed the product in various small retailers and is actively seeking more, aiming to bring the flavorful journey beyond restaurants. From the Tasting Room to a prominent presence in three cities, Rimjobs & Meat Rub Co. has become synonymous with inventive flavors, redefining the art of seasoning.
