About Ragon House

Mary Ragon’s love of antiques began as a young mom of five decorating on a budget. That passion led to The Salt Box Country Store in Canton, Ohio, followed by a shop on the family farm named “Ragon House.” By 1996, she made the leap into wholesale with hand-stenciled band boxes in a 5’x10’ booth at Valley Forge. Orders rolled in, and Ragon House began to grow. In 2003, after a fire destroyed their barn workshop, Mary’s children Josh and Carrie officially joined the business. Josh brought leadership and operations experience, while Carrie’s creative eye helped shape the product line and showrooms. Together, they’ve grown the company while honoring Mary’s original vision. Design remains a family affair. Mary and Carrie draw inspiration from antique shows, flea markets, and historical pieces, crafting collections with a fresh take on vintage. The line has evolved from primitive roots to include farmhouse, Euro-inspired, seasonal, and floral décor. Now celebrating 25+ years, Ragon House continues to support the small businesses that helped build it. “It’s been a roller coaster,” says Mary, “but we’re proud of where we’ve been—and excited for what’s next.”Read their story
