I love many different genres of music, leather and fashion. I wanted to blend my love of all of these things into one-of-a-kind, unique pieces of jewelry. What started out as a sketch, some cuts in leather, quickly turned into something more! I found hat leather can be so many things..delicate, modern, organic, colorful and tactile. I wanted to be a hands-on creator, not just a designer. There is satisfaction of starting with basic materials and seeing how they all come together. I find much joy in creating wearable art that emphasizes form and function. From making my own patterns by hand, each piece is hand cut by yours truly. I’ve found there is something immensely therapeutic about working with my hands. When you shop RML your supporting a small batch-women owned business. My Peek-a-Boo wallets are all made from upcycled leather. I am very mindful of not only design and function but sustainability. All of my leather pieces are naturally resourced. I live in Atlanta with my master carpenter hubby and two pugs (who are our constant entertainment). I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, music, spending time with family, friends and of course working in my shop on Leatherworks!Read their story
