In 2019, in the heart of Lima, the vision of WIRA SHOES™ was born. At a conference at the National University of San Marcos given by Yuki Seo, a specialist in the revitalization of ancient textile techniques, the first threads of our story were woven, inspired by the majesty of pre-Columbian textiles and the nobility of alpaca weaving. This, along with an industrial heritage rooted in the tradition of a Spanish shoemaking area, the two-thousand-year-old city of Elche, and extensive experience in the field of innovation, generated the idea: to merge the richness of Peruvian textiles with contemporary sophistication, giving life to a sustainable fashion brand that transcends borders, backed by strong cultural roots. This is how WIRA™ got its name, evoking the ancient Quechua word for "wealth," in homage to the valuable fat that was once considered as precious as gold. WIRA™ emerges as a bold proposal in the fashion landscape, starting with footwear that intertwines culture and modernity. We evoke the rhythm of ancient Peruvian cultures and the drive for innovation, using natural materials and a ZERO WASTE process that embraces the philosophy of producing exclusively what is sold, pair by pair, without waste and minimizing resource consumption.Read their story
