About Palloncino

Palloncino started as a simple project when I, the founder, was walking through Eataly and couldn't decide which olive oil to buy. After visiting 40 olive oil mills in five countries and trying out 500 different oils, I created Palloncino to show off the best olive oil I found on that journey. Our partner, Frantoi Cutrera, is located in Southern Sicily and makes a fantastic early-harvest oil that has a fresh, grassy taste with just the right amount of spiciness (pungency) and bitterness. They also have a brand-new facility where they do great things for their community, like offering educational courses and taking special care of the environment. They manage every step of making the oil, from growing the olives to bottling it, ensuring top-quality oil every year.
