BriticoDesigns is a design-led homewares and accessories lifestyle brand, featuring contemporary unique images and prints inspired by Africa and the many ancient cultures of the world. Bold, vibrant and colourful prints are a new take on traditional African and indigenous designs not usually seen on the high street or online. Heritage My work reflects a story about heritage, background and the mixed influences of African and western traditions - an appreciation of the cultures in which I was raised. 'Britico' The word 'Britico' - a term of endearment - refers to people from the African continent that have settled abroad, specifically the UK. The name reflects the bold, adventurous nature of those given this nickname. Global Tribe & Sharing I believe there is a need for products in the marketplace that reflects and celebrates all cultures within a society. I encourage this by sharing 1% of my profits in supporting the micro-financing of low-income female entrepreneurs in West Africa - those who are typically excluded from traditional banking.
