About Mexican Sugar Skull

Viva Mexican Folk Art! We are the original creators of the sugar skull molds that are used to make the beloved sugar skulls that honor our departed loved ones on Day of the Dead. We work with artists in 6 states in Mexico to bring all kinds of folk art used to adorn home ofrenda altars and cemetery tombs for Day of the Dead. Our quality is always excellent museum quality and there are stories and purpose behind most everything we sell. After sugar skull season is over, we are known for our custom oilcloth tablecloths & the iconic fluttering strings of hand cut tissue paper banners called "papel picado". We have a 90 year old paper artist who makes exquisitely detailed Papel Picado Banners for all occasions, including your custom logo for your shop. Our tissue paper flowers is our newest line and will be expanding for all of your decorating and events that you may have. Again, we can do custom flower requests for large quantity orders. We have sold folk art at over 100 wholesale gift shows since 1980 but have not shown at the NYNow or Las Vegas since 2019.
