About Atelier Ecluse
Atelier Ecluse is a space dedicated to the practice of contemporary book craft. Our studio combines the equipment and expertise necessary for the practice of printmaking, traditional bookbinding and hand papermaking. Founded in 2022 on the banks of the Lachine Canal, Atelier Ecluse cohabits with the industrial heritage and manufacturing history that is so important to this neighborhood of Montreal. Our paper is made by hand from 100% cotton rags, providing strength and durability. It is ideal for writing and drawing with dry or wet medium. The production of our paper uses techniques dating back centuries, keeping this precious artisanal legacy alive. The Atelier Ecluse is a space devoted to the contemporary practice of book professions. Good quality items. Some Confusion in shipping. A single shipping box was listed on Faire, but I actually received 2 separate shipping boxes. At first I thought that part of the order was missing. But the second package arrived two days later. Rapid response from the vendor about the shipping confusion. Every was addressed and it worked out. All items were received in pristine condition.
