About Louie de Coton
Hello! My name is Fay and I am the founder, owner and designer of Louie de Coton – luxury product line for pets and humans. Inspired by my tiny Maltese puppy, Louie de Coton that I adopted when I was recovering from depression following a deadly accident. To dress Louie for wet and damp Seattle weather was a challenge, I designed clothes with techical fabrics and found out he was much more comfortable. That is why in 2012 with lots of requests from other dog owners I left the corporate world and started Louie de Coton. Unfortunately, Louie had liver shunt and I lost him in 2013. I adopted another Maltese with lots of health issues. My journey as a dog mom with various health issues led me to extensive research that I share in our blog posts. Louie de Coton brand is the legacy of my baby Louie. My mission is to improve the quality of other pets’ lives with our specially designed sustainable products. Each piece is professionally made with love in small batches in Seattle, WA. We are licensed by top technical fabric manufacturers & test each material extensively to make sure the quality and functionality is optimum for pets and free of harmful chemicals. Louie de Coton is certified zero waste & green company by the state of Washington and has been featured by many media. Our vet approved products serve many pets with skin diseases, allergies and anxiety. “Made to Explore" is the way we want our pets to live happily regardless of the weather.
