Danisha Brown started “Poppy Seeds” also called “Swim With Poppies” in December 2011 after graduating from the Art Institutes with a BS in Fashion Design. She had a love for lingerie and was urged by a co-worker with a background in swimwear to try designing swimsuits. The brand embodies color, print, and a refreshing point-of-view in a crowded swimwear market. Swim With Poppies has since sold internationally and domestically in the U.S. using high quality materials, while maintaining the forgotten artistry of crafting intuitive swimwear that fits an array of body types. “Every suit is handmade with love and integrity. I like to create what doesn’t exist. My customer wants something original, and unique. She’s going on a special trip and wants to look amazing. My job is to ensure that the fit, color, and style is spot on. My girl is confident in her own skin, and enjoys showing off all her quirks.
