About Velas Galbis - Jose Galbis Soler, S.L.

We are a company dedicated to the manufacture of handmade candles for four generations, always made with the utmost care and the highest quality. Our story begins at the beginning of the 20th century, with the first craftsman in our family, great-grandfather Galbis and his son José María Galbis Albert. They started working in one of the many wax companies that existed in our small town, Albaida, a wax town par excellence. Years later, Jose María Galbis Albert decides, with everything he learned during his years in the trade, to open his own workshop in Albaida. Later, his son José Vicente Galbis Soler would join the business and learn his father's trade, being one of the few noquistas that we can find today in the town. In 1996, Jose Galbis Soler, S.L., was founded, and a few years later moved to Benissoda, next to Albaida. His children and wife are currently part of the business, who have maintained the artisanal spirit and delicacy of the “handmade” tradition with a renewed spirit and adapted to the new times.Read their story
