About Hammer & Thread

Thanks for shopping at Hammer & Thread! I’m Heather, a married mom of three running Hammer & Thread since 2020. My background is as a physical therapist, but I fell in love with sewing! Building this brand has offered me flexibility, control, and creativity in my work day. Hammer & Thread is named after my parents. My dad loves woodworking, and my mom loves to sew. They started the shop in 2012 making custom wooden growth rulers, and are still are an active part of the team! This shop gives us a unique opportunity to work together and enjoy common ground in a creative outlet. Hammer & Thread features modern, playful, easy-to-wear children’s clothing and accessories ethically handmade in the USA as well as eco-friendly paperless towels.
