About Moanna Collective

Yōkai is primarily inspired by our love of travel and experiencing new cultures. When we were travelling around South East Asia back in 2019, we fell in love with the aesthetic and beauty of the Balinese culture, homes and environment. We became friends with locals and wanted to bring the beauty of the island home with us, to share with others. Now we take our inspiration from global cultures, combined with the simple boho styles of Bali. Our items are all hand crafted in local workshops and villages, and we aim to source and manufacture our pieces as naturally and organically as possible. To achieve this we choose to dye our fabrics using mother nature’s organic materials, such as leaves, bark and spices. We aspire to continue our aim to become more environmentally friendly whilst balancing this with our target to grow as a business. Sustainability and environmental consciousness is at the heart of our business. Since our inception, we have taken steps to eliminate the use of plastic within our supply chain and distribution network. We have also partnered with a local charity in Bali that has a strong focus on environmental sustainability. The primary focus of the charity is to replant trees and create/plant artificial reefs in Bali in an attempt to offset our global carbon footprint. Read their story
