About Lexie Manion

I am a published writer, passionate artist, outspoken mental health advocate, and dog lover from New Jersey. I hold my BA in Psychology and Minor in Art. I will be pursuing my Master's in Art Therapy this fall. I paint out of self-expression and a desire to capture beautiful moments. Flowers may wilt and people and pets age, but I can capture the beauty in life just as it is in this very moment. I paint boldly not only because I like to, but because it helps me express myself and be in my own world. In this world, only myself, my paints, paintbrushes, and canvas exist. For me, being an artist is about escapism and expression through colors, shades, and strokes. Nature and everything around me inspires me to capture it as it is right now.
