The ginger concentrate is produced by Ben Kettels from fresh, self-imported organic Peruvian ginger in Holzkirchen, in Upper Bavaria. The ginger bulbs are first broken by hand, then cleaned and finely chopped. By mashing with water and then pressing, a highly concentrated extract is created, which is seasoned with other ingredients such as lemon and lime juice, a little brown raw cane sugar and a dash of almond syrup. Finally, the mixture is pasteurized at 80 ° C. In particular, the high proportion of ginger and the low proportion of sugar make the product unique. Depending on your taste, you can stir Ben’s Ginger straight or in a ratio of 1/10 to 1/5 in mineral water, tea or juice and enjoy it cold or warm and with or without alcohol. But cooking and baking is also possible with Ben’s Ginger. There are practically no limits to the imagination. Unopened, Ben’s Ginger can be kept for at least one year, should be stored in a cool place after opening and consumed within 3-4 months.
