About Little Red Hen Candles

I am sure many of you are familiar with the popular American folktale known as the Little Red Hen. This folk tale is meant to teach young children the importance of hard work. The folk tale of the Little Red and our origins of Little Red Hen Candles seem to have many parallels. This is where it all began, in our kitchen. In the spring of May 2019, mom (Kelly) began experimenting in her kitchen combining her passion for crafting and love of all-natural soy wax candles. After some time, she decided as things where expanding she needed some help. So, this is where the story of the Little Red Hen began. She first approached her youngest daughter, Erin, if she would like to help. However, she said she was too busy. Then she asked Megan and Hannah, as you can imagine these two also said they did not want to help. At this point, she exclaimed, "what am I the Little Red Hen?" And with that, the name Little Red Hen Candles was born. Since the spring of 2019, she has since gained support and now we are a fully functioning mother-daughter candle company. Read their story
